Who is responsible for your information

Dr. Agathangelou Marios, interventional radiologist, is the data controller for this website. The practice operates at Achaion 22, 1101 Nicosia and 21 Nafpliou St, 3025 Limassol, Cyprus.

What the appointment form collects

When you send an appointment request, the form carries:

• your name and telephone number, so the practice can reply;
• your email address, if you choose to give one;
• the clinic and the date you would prefer;
• the treatment you are asking about;
• anything you write in the free-text box describing your case.

The last two say something about your health. Under the GDPR that is special-category data (Article 9), and it is treated with more care than the rest.

Nothing else on this website asks you for information. There is no account to create, no newsletter, and no chat widget.

Why we are allowed to hold it

Because you gave explicit consent when you ticked the box on the form — Article 6(1)(a) for the ordinary details and Article 9(2)(a) for anything about your health. The box is never pre-ticked, and the request cannot be sent without it.

You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to the address above. Withdrawing it does not undo anything already done with the information before you asked.

Where it goes

The form is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to a small program that does one thing: it turns your request into an email to the practice, and then forgets it. This website has no database and keeps no copy of your request — not on the server, and not in a log file.

Two other companies necessarily handle it on the way. The service that delivers the email acts only on the practice’s instructions, under a written data processing agreement. The mailbox it arrives in is a Google Gmail account — the practice’s long-standing address — so that mail is held under Google’s own terms rather than a separate agreement with the practice.

How long it is kept

Your request stays in the practice mailbox. If it does not lead to an appointment, it is deleted within 12 months. If you do become a patient, the request becomes part of your clinical record and is kept for as long as Cyprus law requires medical records to be kept.

Cookies, and the one you are asked about

The website itself sets no cookies. One thing is stored on your device without asking: your choice of English or Greek, so the site opens in the same language next time. It stays on your device, is not sent anywhere, and is not used to recognise you.

Visitor statistics come from two places, and only one of them needs your permission. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and where they came from — browser, country, and how quickly the page loaded — without storing anything on your device and without building a profile of you. That one runs for everyone, because there is nothing about it to accept.

Google Analytics is the one you are asked about. It sets cookies and sends the visit to Google, which may process it outside the EU under its standard contractual clauses. It does not load at all unless you agree: decline and the script is never requested. It records which pages were opened, how you arrived, and things like how far down a page you read or that you began the appointment form — never what you type into it, and none of it is used for advertising.

You can change your answer whenever you like, from the Cookies link at the foot of every page. The answer itself is remembered on your device, not in a cookie.

What you can ask for

You have the right to ask for a copy of what the practice holds about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to receive it in a portable form. You can also withdraw your consent, as above.

Write to the practice and you will have a reply within one month.

If you are not satisfied with that reply, you can complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.

No automated decisions

Nothing on this website makes a decision about you automatically, and there is no profiling. Every request is read by a person.

The pages describing treatments are general information, not medical advice, and they are not a substitute for a consultation. Whether an image-guided treatment suits you is assessed case by case, and part of that assessment is being told plainly when it is not the right option for you.
